Automating Our System!
The LinkyLoveArmy finished negotiations with a service provider that most of our LLA members know. We will be installing an automated system to route all new advertising purchases from advertisers as well as mission routing to our soldiers.
We sincerely thank all of our early beta testers for your feedback and support. Things are going to speed up very soon, and we have some new features and financial opportunities coming over the next few days!
Earning Money from free White Papers
I have detailed several things for our members and potential members to consider about a new campaign type that we will soon be offering. Basically, we can offer white papers on many different topics free to your readers. Your reader will need to fill out some basic contact information, but will not need to provide a credit card number.
Once the form is complete your reader will then receive the White Paper free. Please see the details in the forum thread under Business Campaigns and let me know what you think. This type of campaign could be very beneficial to many bloggers especially when we apply our army of bloggers to the effort. There are live white papers from these programs available at here.
Metrics for Monitoring Click Through Actions
I would like to share with you the news of the new launch of PMetrics, formerly called Performancing Metrics. The new owners of Performancing (the ones that ‘really’ purchased Performancing) have reworked Performancing Metrics into something even more streamlined than the prior tools.
PMetrics offers some of the standard things you would expect and probably receive from Google Analytics, but they also offer something more.
Their tools can enable you to see what links have been clicked by your visitors. Now here in the LinkyLoveArmy that is very important to us. We need to pay attention to what is going on with our sites and with our articles and especially the links in our articles as that is where are bread is buttered.
In addition they have another new tool that enables you to watch the actions taking place on your site in real time!
Now for brand new sites, sites that have recently gone through a major makeover or sites that are offering up some substantial new feature this can be a very powerful tool. It can essentially enable you to watch where inidviduals go and how they navigate your site one click at a time.
Using Google Analytics you can look at after the fact statistical percentages that show you which links or which buttons a person may have clicked, but they will never tell you if person A clicked on button D or if Person B clicked on Button C if they both showed up on the same day. With PMetrics you can gather that information and truly understand the navigation patterns on your site.
I intend to employ this method myself in an attempt to improve the navigability of LinkyLoveArmy.com even.
If you have time, I would encourage you to try out PMetrics on your site. They offer a free version (lite) and a subscription version that costs $2 per month. Please send me your feedback about what you think of the product and maybe the LinkyLoveArmy can run a campaign for our good friends at Performancing.
Pmetrics does offer a demo that is running their Pmetrics tool on the Pmetrics website. They have this open to the public so that you can go in and look at the accumulated stats as well as the stats that are generated in real time while you are there. You can spy on your own actions on the site and get a feel for just how fast the program is. I found that trying out the dashboard and learning how the tools worked gave me a much better appreciation of how I might deploy the stats tool to my websites.
This is definitely an evolutionary leap above what Performancing Metrics previously offered so shed your preconceptions before you check it out!
Dodging Reality Podcast with LinkyLoveArmy
Earlier this week I did an interview with Andrew Ian Dodge, the host of Dodging Reality from the site Dodgeblogium. Check out his podcast featuring the LinkyLoveArmy and also don’t miss the segment about SecondLife a fascinating (not so new) area of the internet ripe for bloggers.
Flagship Content Opportunities in the LinkyLoveArmy
Do you have Flagship Content on your blog? Is your Blog ‘known’ for something? When visitors aren’t randomly surfing, what do they typically look for on your website?
I would like to discuss and possibly introduce you to the concept of Flagship Content. As far as I know this is not a new concept but the buzz words might be attributable to Chris Garrett, the writer of a free ebook titled Killer Flagship Content. If you aspire to be a successful blogger, I highly encourage you to read it.
Role of Flagship Content in the LinkyLoveArmy
Flagship Content plays a pivotal role in the strategy of the LinkyLoveArmy. Our goal is to create flagship content and promote that same flagship content through our army. I have previously described the concept of WedgeBlogging and provided a number of other additional article covering it more fully.
What is the relationship of Flagship Content to WedgeBlogging?
Flagship Content and Wedge blogging have a direct relationship! You can not successfully perform a wedge blogging strategy without utilizing the principles described in Chris Garrett’s ebook. The blog articles that are the focal point of our wedge formation should be structured and written as flagship content. These articles need to be comprehensive and in some regards exceptional. At times we will cover products but in the future we will also cover a great deal of content. (more on this new development to come!) The articles need to provide something unique and important to your readers and provide a reason for the entire internet to come to your site and read that article.
Your article will be so good that our entire army of bloggers might point to your flagship content!
Two Simple Principles to Building up Deeplink PageRank
In general building up pagerank on articles or ‘deep links’ on a website, anything not the home page for the most part, is very simple. You need to primary components:
- Flagship Content
- Votes/Links from websites around the internet
How does the LinkyLoveArmy help Bloggers Achieve this goal?
- We help suggest topics for you to cover as Flagship Content.
- Bloggers write up that content and when its done well, the content will be compelling and unique and a force to be reckoned with!
- We then introduce your article to our army of bloggers that also covers the topical content and links to your content as the Flagship Content in the Wedge Position.
- This provides many links to your Flagship content from other articles on the same topic lending greater weight to your article.
- Our formation of articles and bloggers creates an upwards funnel that also pushes readers to the source, your Flagship Content!
- Plus, as time and indexing go by, your great and attractive content rich in keywords and many other items combined with the links from the blogger army and attracted by the blogger army(other blogs outside LLA that find you through our combined efforts) will drive your pagerank up on that individual article.
No Gaming Going on Here
The LinkyLoveArmy is not attempting to game the search engines at all. This is not a link game. We are helping bloggers find content, cover that content effectively and promote their message to rise above the static on the internet.
Our bloggers as we look at this in our second week are still new to the concept and developing their talents and skills in this area. The beta tests for the formations have gone very well. We have a long way to go and we have some exciting new features, products, and opportunities for bloggers that will be coming out very soon as well. In the meantime, I’d like our bloggers to read Chris Garrett’s ebook and consider how to best employ the practical advice and strategies that he describes. His techniques can definitely help people improve their blogging effectiveness, plus if you write about his ebook and link to his site, he will feature your blog in one of his own articles in the old fashioned linky love tradition!
Disclaimer. We do respect Chris Garrett and his opinions and writing, but he has no affiliation with the LinkyLoveArmy. ![]()
Opening Salvo Update
We are in the early stages of our first campaigns. We have not even mobilized the entire army yet on these campaigns as we await each of our blogger troop formations to run through the zones.
Things seem to be moving along pretty well. This week is going a little slow as we are all doing things that are brand new in some ways. Please keep all the questions coming, I am doing my best to get copies of each of the questions you ask in email, published in the forum. I’d like to ask that if you have questions please do not hesitate to keep sending or replying to emails. However, if you have a spare minute or two it would help the cause significantly if you ask the questions in the forum.
I will be working hard to keep the forums on track for the LinkyLoveArmy and very focused. I’d encourage you to venture over to GeekySpeaky’s forum or to Performancing’s forum if you want to talk shop about items unrelated to the LinkyLoveArmy. They both have excellent resources and a great group of bloggers. There is a great deal of good information as well at the forum at PayPerPost. I did not setup the LLA forum to compete with any of the other great forums, but I did set it up specifically for us to capture useful information so that we can work better together as a team. So if you are in doubt, feel free to post it here!
Follow on Waves Link to those that led the Charge
Over the last 24 hours we have seen several bloggers kick off the second wave of one of our campaigns. A few bloggers have linked to the LinkyLoveArmy in their campaign posts. This is not necessary and not required by the live missions. You are free to link to us if you like, but its not necessary.
That said, we do want you to point to the troops that led the charge ahead of you. Think of it like this.
Prepare yourself for bad analogy!
We are storming a castle. The first bloggers run to the castle wall with the ladders, set them against the wall and run to the top of the ladder. But with a blog they can only get halfway up the wall. The next group of bloggers come along and collectively lift up the ladder over their heads. Then the next wave repeats this and the wave after that and so on until the front bloggers get to the top. They get over the wall and run to open the gates for all of us.
So in that analogy it doesn’t help to point back to headquarters (LinkyLoveArmy), but it does help to lift up the troops above you and help them get over the wall.
More Bigger Buttons
We have increased the size of the buttons in the menu above to make it easier to find the registration options. The ‘Register’ button is for general registration and for entering your first and any additional blog url.
The B2C Register button is for registering for the consumer campaigns. You will receive missions for consumer campaigns but will not be able to get all the details you need to participate until you register in this additional system.
Working on Requests
We hope to get an alternate Email field set up shortly for new recruits and for existing (some battle hardened) soldiers. I’ll keep you posted on this and let you know how to add the alternate when its ready.
Regards,
Colonel Love
First Campaigns Kicking Off Today!
Our first live campaigns are kicking off today! We have sent out our first mission to bloggers that volunteered for the wedge position last week.
They are writing their point articles and as we receive the permalinks back in we will get the next round off and running as well. This will work as a bit of an iterative cycle as we go through our ‘battle formation.’
Keep your eyes on your email for your mission and make sure you have your email set to receive from the LinkyLoveArmy!
PS We are looking for one more volunteer for the wedge position for an article on Intuit’s QuickBase online database tool, project management tool, and CRM systems. This is for a free 30 day trial to QuickBase and will do very good. Send an email to Colonel Love if you are interested and sign up today if you haven’t already.
We’ll probably do several missions this week to break the ice and then next week, we’ll go as fast as you want to go.
This Army of Bloggers is Mobilizing!
Missions Delivered by Email - Update Your Contacts Now!
We will be sending some of our first missions out to our new members very soon. If you registered with an email service such as yahoo, aim, hotmail, gmail etc. please add Colonel.love at linkylovearmy dot com to your contacts so that you can receive our missions without the mission going into your spam/junk/bulk email folders by default.
Everyone that has registered so far should have received a welcome email from the same address. If you did not, please check your folders and make sure you add us to your contacts soon so that you will not miss the initial missions.
Initial missions will go out staggered over a several day period. The bloggers that will comprise the point of the wedge formation will receive their missions first. They will have 24 hours to complete their mission and submit their permalink to the LLA Headquarters (more info on this to follow!).
LLA Headquarters will take those permalinks and the campaign url target and create missions for the scouts, who will have 24 hours, then the marines who will have 24 hours, and so on all the way down through the wedge until the entire army is deployed.
LinkyLoveArmy does Accept New Blogs
You have a great idea for a new blog. You buy the domain, set up the database, upload the WordPress files, get the theme and plugins working and then you start to write like crazy, but no other service will accept you right away.
The LinkyLoveArmy will accept you!
We will take new blogs but we have just a few rules that new blog recruits (even those written by experienced bloggers) must follow. Please read more in our Terms of Service subtopic on Active Blog Requirements.
There’s no point why you can’t start planting the seeds to make your new blog profitable now with the LinkyLoveArmy, but you will have to go through a little Boot Camp.
Don’t worry boot camp is a breeze!
LinkyLoveArmy Updated Registration Forms
We have updated our registration forms on our primary registration tabs above. If you have registered previously, there is no need to register again.
If you have not yet registered, please register so that we can include you in our future operations!
Unlimited Blogs
We are now structured such that you can submit any of your blogs. Our campaigns will still be limited to 10 blogs per blogger. We have an unlimited blog policy, because we want to make sure that if the right campaign comes along for one of your specialized blogs, then we have got you covered!
We ‘Do Follow’!
The LinkyLoveArmy supports the DoFollow movement. We look forward to promoting our troops in many ways and as our site grows in importance we are completely in agreement that we want to share this with our troops.
We will nuke spam, but good comments that add to our understanding and ability to provide better services are encouraged.
The least we could do is Follow, but we will do so much More!
Blogger Collaborative
The LinkyLoveArmy brings an Army of bloggers focused on individual campaigns to deliver results. This is the wedge theory of Blog marketing at work. A blog all by its lonesome only has so much power even with a decent readership and substantial PageRank.
However, when a blog is backed up by hundreds and even a few thousand other blogs we are a force to be reckoned with on the internet!A reader may come through Blog A and hear about a product offering for the first time. They may then surf on over to Blog B and then Blog C where they see it for a second time on Blog C. Blog C makes a couple additional points that are very good and offers a link in their write up to Blog D.
Blog D happens to have a niche focused entirely on this particular product. The reader gathers enough information and interest to make a decision and then proceeds to act on that interest. They sign up for the service, download the free trial or ebook, or sign up for a subscription.
Now today in the blogosphere if that happened Blog D would benefit even though Blogs A and C helped. Plus, the reader may have found blog A in the first place because Blog A landed the reader from Search Engine results (derived from hundreds of other links pointing at Blog A!)
The LinkyLoveArmy will generate results because we will develop a synergy together and we will be rewarded for working together instead of being paid to compete against each other. We are not just building LinkyLove we are building a cohesive and functional collaborative of bloggers!
Linky Love Army Battle Plan
I’d like to share with you a portion of our battle plan.
This video covers most of the information below. I’d encourage you to watch the 3-4 minute video and then possibly look below for additional details or clarifications. If you have any questions, you can always stop by our new forums!
The blogging world today is earning a large amount of money from sites that pay bloggers to write sponsored articles. I do it myself and enjoy it.
An advertiser might include a retailer on the web, or an affiliate advertiser promoting something for a retailer or just a site in general working to build PageRank. In the latter case nothing is being sold, just simple web site development.
In the former cases, something is being sold, a product, a service possibly even a lead for a product or service. The advertisers pay bloggers a nominal fee and receive a large benefit in PageRank that can last months or years.
The bloggers receive no additional compensation. Once the PageRank is developed the advertiser may not need to come back to work on it again ever or possibly at least many months. This means that the bloggers service is a one time event and the demand for their services can decrease over time. There will be competitors of the advertiser that will attempt to take away PR as well.
Plus, the sites that promote this service also take a commission (I’m referring to the sites that pay you for sponsored articles ). Some pocket just an industry standard of 35% approximately, but others can and do take upwards of 200% over what the bloggers receive.
Bloggers can take control of a portion of this industry directly. We can work together utilizing our collective power to drive even more effective results through these advertising campaigns and in doing so we bloggers can receive the long lasting PageRank benefit from our efforts.
The LinkyLoveArmy is working with several advertiser groups to bring these opportunities directly to our blogger army. We can reap the financial rewards of directly converting readers into leads when some of our readers sign up for a free download, an ebook and we can benefit when they sign up for a service offering or buy a product.
Typically, an individual blogger does not have the pagerank nor traffic nor clout to benefit from affiliate programs. However, we are going to harness the power of thousands of bloggers to utilize our collective clout in a way that the internet has not yet seen! Plus, recognizing that this is a group effort a portion of the spoils will be split amongst the entire group. If you ran an affiliate program by yourself, you would be likely to receive nothing for your effort.
With the LinkyLoveArmy we will help you build significant PageRank just like our advertisers buy and we will increase your odds of earning good money, from the conversions as opposed to nothing if you went it alone. Plus, sites that directly convert a reader will receive a direct share of the sale.
- PageRank Increases working with the LinkyLoveArmy
- More Likely to convert sales as you have the power of the LLA behind your site
- Share in the proceeds to hedge your bets in the pool of blogs
- Rewarded for your individual effectiveness and creativity. The better you write the more likely you will succeed!
Here is Our LinkyLoveArmy Battle Plan!
Together we can take back both commissions and boost our own PageRank together!
This will help you earn more money for your efforts.
It will encourage bloggers to write better quality blog articles.
It will increase the value of your blog via pagerank that will make you eligible for higher paying sponsored articles, more traffic and higher paying text link ads.
It will also increase the demand for blogger sponsored article services as the Affiliate advertisers will need to raise their game as we raise the PageRank bar.
We have a natural advantage in our mass ability to generate contextual content that can push people to a conversion more effectively.
Here is a glimpse at how we will apply our strategy.
We will create a wedge rotating our bloggers through the wedge positions in a way that focuses all the blogs of the army on these wedge blogs in turn. This will increase the page rank of the deep links we point to enabling us to gather more traffic on specific keywords that will convert. It will also raise the PR of the primary domain for the blog, which will help all other campaigns in the future in the LinkyLoveArmy and in any other venture you use your blog within!
We will choose the blogs for the wedge blogger positions based on two criteria.
- We will choose half of these positions based on the blogs likelihood to convert traffic for that campaign. The better we choose the more we all will earn.
- We will choose the other half based on general fairness. We will rotate blogs through the position to build up each of the blogs in our Linky Love Army.

We will have multiple layers of support focusing the strength of our linky love army into the Wedge Blog. We will utilize a Battalion of Marine Bloggers (the next best fit and the next blogs to have a turn in this second tier position).
All levels will then be supported by multiple divisions of blogs of all stripes and colors. The masses will point to strong blogs and the strong blogs and the masses will point to the Rambo like blogs in the wedge position.
Then on the next go around, we will switch up and rotate a new group through the positions and we will all get stronger and more effective on each and every iteration of our advertising campaigns!
Check back soon and we will provide more information on our revenue plan and soon we will be going live so sign up today to secure a good position in the opening salvos of our campaigns!
The more blogs the better in the Linky Love Army!
No Clones Here!
Our new service as we have mentioned is not a clone of other services that pay you to write sponsored articles. We will be offering up a brand new business model for bloggers that can be applied to their portfolios of blogs.
New Revenue Model for Bloggers
This new company will feature a revenue model where we benefit from the effort of the group as opposed to benefiting from the efforts as individuals. This will help us all realize a large potential return on our time investments in the form of money. In current models for bloggers today, we (and I am a blogger myself!) are paid a nominal upfront fee for our services promoting products and especially websites for other companies typically websites that are heavy practitioners of SEO strategies. That is not a bad thing but bloggers can benefit in additional ways.
Over the last year our blogging efforts directly benefited advertisers up front. They also benefited from permanent links that remain on our blogs for many months if not years to come. We as bloggers receive only the upfront benefit of the nominal payment in return. The advertisers are taking the risk that we will pay off for them and we take a small secure fee. We now know that our efforts are paying off for our advertisers as they keep coming back and as the industry continues to grow.
Through the LinkyLoveArmy we will help bloggers realize a long term benefit. The benefit will be monetary in one part and will consist of ‘LinkyLove’ in another. We will always benefit from LinkyLoveArmy campaigns and when we suceed we will win big!
Share in the work and Share in the Success!
In the military soldiers often learn to navigate a ‘Confidence Course’ or obstacle course. They learn that they cannot overcome the obstacles without the benefits of the entire team. We are going to apply that same lesson here. Just like it might take 2-3 soldiers to help each other climb up and over a wall, we are going to use multiple blogs to climb up and over a wall and grab the pot of gold at the top. We will then split the rewards not just among the blogs that made it to the top and grabbed the gold. The entire group that lifted those blogs up on their shoulders will benefit together.
Future Mission
Soon, I will communicate your first ‘mission.’ You will be free during the beta and during all future missions to participate in the mission or to turn it down. We are going to be an all volunteer LinkyLoveArmy. There will be room for all blogs in our army and all bloggers that do not bring harm to the community.
There will be more to follow soon, so please check back!
All Volunteer Blogger Army - Blogger’s Unite!
Greetings!
I would like to welcome you to LinkyLoveArmy.com. I am recruiting volunteers for our LinkyLoveArmy, but fear not this is army like no other you have ever heard of or seen.
In the LinkyLoveArmy, rank has little meaning as we are all Colonels. We are all on the same team and marching towards the same goal. We want to blog about anything we want to talk about and earn a living or a fortune doing it!
I will share more details very soon. I would like to put out an early call out for bloggers to sign up for our beta that will launch this week. We will take a few new recruits through our LinkyLoveArmy confidence course and prepare them to add a great new way to earn money from blogging.
Without giving too many details away now, I’d like to ask you to consider these questions:
- Do other pay you to blog sites provide advertisers that want links to point to your site or to just the advertiser’s site?
- Do you get hundreds of new links pointed to your blog each week? each month? ever? (We’re not talking about link farming either!)
- Do you earn money from your paid articles days or weeks or months after you have written them?
- What do you write about in between your paid articles?
- Do other sites encourage you to compete with other bloggers or to work together?
- When you write a sponsored Article can you include links to any other site on the internet?
- Can you include links to your friends sites, or to your own sites?
- Can you write about anything you like?
- When you surf the Blogosphere do you see other sites with articles that look ’surprisingly’ like your own articles?
I am not saying that the other sites are doing anything wrong. I love the other sites and I am sure you do too!
We want them to be very successful.
The LinkyLoveArmy can benefit you, your blog or blogs, it can benefit all of the other paid to blog services as well, and it can benefit our advertisers and their advertisers at the same time. Our LinkyLoveArmy will not be a competitor with the other great services, we will be a compliment to them, and to your own goals and more importantly to your financial and blogging success.
Blog with us and you are joining the LinkyLoveArmy, a blogging force to be reckoned with and taken serious and a force that will make you money and just might make you famous too.
Don’t ask what you can do to make a little more money from your blog, ask what the Blogosphere can do to help you make more money from your blog. The LinkyLoveArmy will be about helping each other, while helping our advertisers and clients achieve their campaign goals. Because when the LinkyLoveArmy wins our advertisers win and all of our bloggers win together!
Sincerely,
Colonel Love
